Not sure if i should post this here or under money matters. But can someone reccommend a decent pet groomer in the area? I have to take my dog next weekend to get her shaved down before i go away for thanksgiving. Usually i just go and take her to Petsmart but i would love to be able to start using people close to us and start supporting our local economy.

I definitely respect staying local...but the person I was gonna recommend works at teh Petsmart at Whiteoak. She works with Zookeeper to take care of my babies while I'm at work also! Mandy is great!

If you want to stay local, they do pet grooming at Critter Country, near the DQ on 40/42. Never had a pet groomed, I'm a cat person, but they helped me a lot with my garden pond - fish, plants, etc. Seemed like really nice people, and knowledgeable, and did not try to sell me more "stuff" than I needed.

The folks at Critter Country (behind DQ) are very nice. I dropped in to check out their grooming services/options. Reasonable rates, they seem competent and their place is clean.
Please post your reveiw if you decide to give them a try.

I used them back in the spring to have 2 cats groomed (shampoo'd, mats trimmed out, cleaned ears & clipped nails, etc.) Pd...around $75 for both, I think she gave me a discount for bringing more than 1. The only fault I found was that after a few weeks both my cats developed awful dandruff in their fur from whatever she used for a shampoo/coat conditioner. I did go back to using Ms. Bianca at the old Petsmart in Garner (by OfficeMax), she's always done a beautiful job on my "boo-boo kitty".

You HAVE to call Bark and Bath Mobile Grooming! LOVE THEM!!!!! (although my cat doesn't)
Jean has been grooming Mattie forever. I love that she comes to the house and I don't have to even get out of my pj's

When I called her a while back she wasn't accepting new clients. Maybe she has some spots now though.

My groomer is Ann Seaburg. She is mobile + she grooms at my vet's office (Stage Road Animal Hospital) each Mon, Thurs & Fri. 639-3337

HG - I called her after one of your previous endorsements. She was nice to speak with however, since she is limited to mobile grooming, she only grooms cats and small dogs.

i love Rachel at Critter Country, she grooms and clips my birds and dogs. She is awesome and so knowledgeable and helped me out so many times. (Have to add though, i really haven't worked with any of her employees, i only deal with her)
