This was coved on the board a while back... over all I'll have to agree w/ Dave Ramsey (dot com) that it is usually a very bad deal. It's very hard to collect anything when you have already paid for the Ins. & the medical/vet bills.
We had it for a couple of years for Elvis but found it to cost more than it was worth....although I wonder how much they would pay now???
We used to have VPI and I liked it. Would have been GREAT for the heartworm stuff last summer! Frogger
I talked with a couple of neighbors about this, when my dog was sick a couple of months ago and I had to pay $2,700. They all told me they USED to have it. They ran into too many times the insurance wasn't paying/versus their monthly expense for carrying it.
