Just an FYI, wish I had noticed BEFORE I ate there for lunch today. Sanitation grade was 84.5.................yep.............84.5. ICK! Nasty, disgustingly dirty ceiling fan over the cash registers too. I won't go back until they raze the place. :ack::ack::ack:

Don't you love it when you don't notice the grade until AFTER you've eaten? That happened to us at the japanese place at White Oak.

ugh. I can't find the inspection report online. The last one I can find is January 2008. Not a 84. Can someone find link to report. What brought them down so far?

Restaurants should be required by the State of North Carolina to post the sanitation grade at the drive thru speaker and on the walk-in doors of the establishment, in my opinion.

I normally look for the grade when I walk in, but we were gabbing and I just forgot. The place has always been "iffy" but yesterday, we both wanted pizza and I don't particulary care for CiCi's. Lesson learned. 8) I'm still alive today.

That Pizza Hut is old. It was built when I was either in middle or high school, and I've "been graduated" for over 23 years now, so let's hope they had points deducted for old equipment that needs to be updated, or something benign like that.

Glad you're still here and hopefully the bathroom wasn't your best friend last night! :)

The new one in Smithfield has big flat screen TV's in it. But it's still the same people who worked in the old one. It's better than the Clayton one but I went to the one in Benson one time. Wow. Nasty.

Unless a restaurant is on the top of their game, adding a buffet tends to bring down a grade by what I've seen. Buffets can be good, but most of the time they are overrated and almost all of them tend to just welcome uncleanliness. About 95% of the time, I'd rather order off the menu.

I'll agree with that most of the time but 5% goes to McCall's in Clayton. I love that buffet. I mean it even doubles as a landing strip.:jester:

    Too soon?

Possibly. I don't go to McCall's myself that much and haven't been back since the rebuild. Do you ever think about the fact that the pilot died right there at the buffet? I believe that is where they said the fuselage ended up. I guess I can be kind of squimish. Oh well...more chicken and shrimp. Life goes on, I suppose.

DH and I don't do buffets much, just seems unsanitary. We do enjoy the salad bar at Ruby Tuesday's though. I think they keep it up quite well.

We haven't eaten at the Pizza Hut in years. They almost always got our pizza wrong, no biggy for me but it is for the wife, and the food wasn't that good.

Well, they headlined WRAL's Restaurant Ratings from this past Friday. Their actual score was only 82. :ack: They got two bonus points for a "food safety" course. :? They have not been re-graded to date.

Anyway, I refuse to eat at Pizza Hut. Its disgusting.

We always order carryout from Dominos around the corner, they got a 100% grade there.

REALLY???? I had NO IDEA!! This thread happens to about..............PIZZA HUT!!!

I used to work practically next door to Venero's and frankly think their food is worse than Pizza Hut. But thanks for pointing out the obvious there. Nothing better to do this morning? 8)
