A friend of mine is having surgery in May and she has no one at home that she can depend on to look after her (she's the caretaker in the house). Her surgery will be same day so she will not be allowed to check into the hospital.

Has anyone ever heard of a place where you can go and check in and have them take care of you? I have no idea what this type of place would be called. I guess sorta like a hospital for the not so sick?

    Thanks!

The only thing I can think of is home health coming to her...would that be helpful or possible?

    surgery after care

It makes the most sense to me for her to get a visiting nurse or some kind of home health aide to assist her.

There is the young lady with the plywood sign. I think she will escort her and make her feel better.

there are many rehab facilities in the area. she should ask her surgeon to refer her to one of these facilities.
