Does anyone have recommendations on a place to board Toby-boy for a few days? We're heading for Myrtle Beach next month. We go every year, and so far we've boarded him at our vet and the place on 210 down by the Reedy Creek grocery. At the vets the pens were small and i know he was miserable, and I was not happy with the place on 210. He came back with a raw spot on his nose and they claimed it was there when we brought him in.
There are a couple of folks on here that will come to your home and check, feed, entertain the dog in the environment it is comfortable. http://www.4042.com/4042forums/showpost.php?p=522938&postcount=1
Highly recommend .... Lucky Paws -- intersection of Guy Rd & hwy 70 ... You can web cam @ play and all that fun stuff..... See their site ... www.myluckypaws.com Great people and lots of play room for the dogs inside & out.
We thought of that, but I'm not real comfortable with giving a stranger a key to my house, especially when they know exactly when I'm leaving and exactly when I'm coming home. And sometimes Toby has to go outside at like 3:00 am. Thanks for the advice though.
I have a girl that is going to college that comes to my house and stays. Really trustworthy too. She plans on being a vet. She is real reasonable too. if you would like her info you can email me at pat.smith@pgnmail.com
I second Lucky Paws. If your dog gets along ok with other dogs he only goes in the kennel for nights, feeding and meds. I am going to trust them with mine since my wonderful sitter is booked solid.
