Does anyone know someone that has empty plastic drums (55 gallon) that I could use for storing rainwater? (Plastic drum) rain catchers cost over 150 bucks online and I figure empty plastic drum + hole in top = cheaper alternative.
You're welcome! Someone else had posted it awihile back, so I just found the link for you. I've been trying to my DH to go.....but he's procrastinating. :x
hope this link works. The city of Raleigh sells rainbarrels. Great prices on rain barrels without the hassle of making them. http://www.raleighnc.gov/portal/ser...CA-20071015-151721-Rain_Barrels_For_Sale.html DB's wife
Here's another alternative - www.RainBarrelBoyz.com Better barrels, cheaper and they do installation.
Plastic Drums I heard on triangletrader.com at 5:15 yesterday that a man has plastic drums with lids for sale and they are only $10.00. He says they are perfect for catching rain water.........
