Hi, We recently moved to the McGee's area from Smithfield and I have been looking for a nice playground/park for my son. I went to the Clayton and Johnston parks website and could not find anything nearby. We used to go to the community park on Amelia Church Rd, but that is a good 15 miles from where we live now (technically Angier). I also searched old posts and could not find this info. Any recommendations?? Thanks!
There are 2 nice parks up hwy50 going into Garner. There's Benson Park off Aversboro rd, and then there's one across from New Bethel church, right on 50.
There are also two places to pay to play near by. Go Play Outside at Cornwallis and Old Drug store corner, and Jumping Jax (at 40/42) Last time we were there it was $3.00 to play as much as you wanted, and adults were free. They have arcade games and such too. I don't know what age you're looking for, but figured it's probably pretty young. Good luck! and welcome to the area!
