I will be going tomorrow night to see "My Fair Lady". Definitely not one of my favourite plays.

I am glad that we are part of the "Broadway Series South" circuit, though.

Does Trans Siberian count as a Musical? If so, I liked it.

"Rent'. Love it, love it, love it!!!

I love Ira David Wood's play "The Christmas Carol". Its playing in Raleigh, go see it!
(little trivia=Ira David Woods is the father of Evan Rachel Woods who was in the movie "Thirteen" and she is dating Marilyn Manson)

Would love to see "Wicked" if it ever came around here...

Romeo & Juliet, West Side Story, My Fair Lady (never seen the play but would love to!) and Hairspray. :)

I'm wondering if Sweeney Todd the movie will be as good as the musicial.

    Or as bad.

I have a friend who I know would not like operas, but will still go see "Sweeney Todd" (the movie) simply because it stars Johnny Depp.

Phantom of Opera was my favorite. It was a beautiful story and the music was amazing!

    Riverdance, didn't like it.

    Lets see:

    CATS-in NY...awesome
    My Fair Lady
    Man of La Mancha
    A Chorus Line
Ira David Wood's 'A Christmas Carol' (many times)
    West Side Story
    Little Orphan Annie
    The Nutcracker
    Annie Get your Gun
    DreamGirls

    I think thats it.

I like them too, but if we start talking about concerts, then we will get the Van Halen crowd in here (actually I'm looking forward to that, since David Lee Roth os back with them). and this will turn into a discussion about concerts instead of plays and musicals.

Yep! My friend has a purse that says, "The future Mrs. Depp" and plans on going to see it.
I'm glad she lives in another state so I wont have to be seen with her.

I admit, I would go see it too, just because of my boyfriend being in it...Johnny '21 Jump Street' Depp. (That's how long I have loved). ;)

You seem to think that I equated all operas with "Sweeney Todd". I don't. The two comments were completeley separate. I don't like Sweeney Todd and I have a friend who doesn't like operas but will see this particular one simply because it stars Johnny Depp.

Operas are acceptable in this thread because they are esentially musicals with a lot more singing.

For the record, I like "Pirates of Penzance"
