Hopefully it's OK to share this here. I just wanted to spread the word. This fundraiser is being held for an AMAZING family who has done so much to help others in the community AGAIN and AGAIN. I'm sure MANY of you who had kids at West View Elementary a few years back remember the WONDERFUL Jennifer Hurley VanGundy, who not only served as a constant volunteer but also as West View's PTA president for a while. She lived at the school giving, volunteering, and helping out in any way she could. If you have kids involved with the WJHS band, you may know this family from their efforts there also. Really, this caring, involved family has given and volunteered in MANY, MANY capacities throughout the years. IT"S WHO THEY ARE AND WHAT THEY DO!! Our community is truly a better place because these people are a part of it!!! They've helped so many in so many ways. I'm hoping we can all come together to give them back just a little of what they've given. If you can donate items for the fundraiser (unused gift cards, movie passes, arts, crafts, gifts you didn't what to throw away but didn't know what to do with, services: lawn service, babysitting, painting, photography, pet sitting, salon, exercise classes, entertainment, decorating, home/office organizing, cleaning, car washes, ... ANYTHING that can be auctioned!!), come to the event, share the event on your facebook page, invite friends on your friend's list, donate any amount (no matter how small .... every dollar helps!!), or keep this family in your prayers .... it would be GREATLY appreciated. If you know a business owner or frequent a business regularly ... Please don't hesitate to ask them if they would be willing to donate a gift card or item. Their donation will be mentioned on the Face Book Page for the Event and folks bidding will have a chance to see what a caring community business they are bidding on services/goods from. Donations are a win/win for everyone involved!! Just a few days ago, this family was working and giving ... just like they always have. Their entire lives changed in just a matter of a week.
