I am currently fostering a wonderful 2 year old chocolate lab mix through the Johnston County Animal Protection League. His name is Starbuck. Starbuck is such a lovable guy, but he has a blown ACL that requires surgery. His previous owners had to surrender him to JCAPL because they couldn't afford the surgery and follow-up meds, etc. Starbuck is a WONDERFUL dog and I want to see him get fixed up and good as new. He's even cute with his little limp, but he deserves to be able to run without pain. I am trying to get donations through the JCAPL website http://www.jcapl.org/. This is a wonderful JoCo organization. If you would like to make a small donation (a little bit adds up to a lot!) I would really appreciate it and Starbuck will appreciate it even more. Just click on the JCAPL website link above, go to "How Can you Help?", you will see the "Make a Donation" option and at the bottom of the page there is a button for their paypal account. If you will write in the notes section in paypal that the donation is for Starbuck's surgery they will know to set it aside for him. I understand if times are tight and a donation can't be made. In that case, a prayer for him is always priceless as well as any fundraising thoughts, etc. Thanks from Bridget and Starbuck!
Bump - People will probably have 0 interest in this, but I'd be willing to auction off my services to the highest donator such as mowing the lawn, babysitting, anything within reason that you need done and that I can do (auctioning my services could be taken the wrong way....not my intention!) :lol: This just means a lot to me and I'd like to make every effort to raise this money for Starbuck. I know I'm no Seabee so I have no chance of raising those kind of funds, but I'm just throwing the idea out there! Thanks! Bridget
