Ok my 4042 family, I really need your prayers.

My father has Renal Cell Carcinoma and has been battling this for 2 years now.
He is on an oral chemotherapy regimen and has been doing well.
Lately his bad days are getting more frequent with bouts of nausea and vomiting.
They have been adjusting his meds and so he has good days with the bad.

He goes in for another scan on Friday, and they said this time they are going to scan his head....
His cancer was already in his liver, lymph nodes, and lung when they found it, but all of his tumors have shrunk and been very stable.
They even saw necrotic tissue on the main tumor itself last time. (means tumor was dying)
Do you think this has spread to his brain???
Why would they be checking his head this time?
Please pray for my father that this scan shows nothing bad.

My father does not have near enough grandchildren yet, so he is not allowed to pass away.
My brother is trying to have children with his new wife, and I would hate for him to miss that miracle.

    Please please please pray...pray hard.

I will for sure pray. I have been praying every day for people battling cancer and their families. My good friend was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma 2 months ago and yesterday I went with her to her 3rd chemo treatment. I can't even imagine what the pain is like seeing a parent go through this because I feel helpless enough just having to watch my friend. I think they are scanning his brain to see if it has spread. I don't think it means that it has, but at this point I think they have to check to rule it out. I will cross my fingers and pray that nothing shows. :grouphug:

Prayers from my family to yours, please be strong at this time. It is very difficult, I lost my mother to cancer and my father in law to cancer. It is a terrible disease. Put his health in God's hands, he will know how to handle it. Have trust in God. Please keep us all updated on his condition, :grouphug:

    Thanks guys...

I have to put this into God's hands and trust that this is what is meant to happen.

It has taken me a long time to put my full trust in God. I lost my father in law only 30 days after he was diagnosed with liver cancer.
The really trying part has been coping with
the death of my son, Ayden.
I tried so hard to not be mad at God, and it took me a long time
to trust that He knows best.
I have accepted all of it, and I believe that God will get us through.
I have seen the power of prayer, even though sometimes we don't understand why.

Thank you all so much for your prayers.
We will know the results of the scans on Tuesday, so I will be sure to keep you informed..

    God Bless.:grouphug:

I will certainly say a prayer for him. Is there anything that he can take for the nausea?

My dad had lymphoma that, while aggressive, was caught early and was actually one of the easiest to treat. He had the IV chemo and I believe it was so that he had something to stave off the nausea. He's been in remission for a few years now.

Where is your dad being treated? Locally?

My dad lives in my hometown of Charlotte, and is being treated there.
He is on two different medications for nausea and they normally work but these days they are not working so well.
I am thinking that his body is just getting used to the nausea meds he
is taking, and they need to try something new.

Thank you so much for your support and prayers.
    You guys rock..:grouphug:

    Prayers your way, definitely.

We are dealing with a pesky form of brain cancer in my household. When our journey began, we were told many things about how cancer spreads through the body through like tissues. My husband's started in his brain, so we've only had brain scans -- and I understand how frustrating and scary it is to wait for the results of those scans. The internet is a wonderful thing for finding information, but it can also scare the crap out of you. If you are researching things online, DO NOT think it's a one-size-fits-all scenario. It's not. And my hubby is proof of that.

Thinking of you - and here if you need to PM me.

Prayers are being sent your way for sure. I have lost some wonderful friends to cancer and lost an Aunt and Uncle to cancer. Know that you and your family will be in our thoughts.
