I think political calls should be included on the do-no-call list! Seems everyone is using an automated phone system this year. Some times I get several per day...and we have an unlisted phone number.
I am getting many calls a day. I know they usually choose the older people to call and volunteer which makes people feel bad about not listening. Im not one to feel bad. Most of them are reminder calls to vote. Like I dont know when it is. I try to take a nap in the afternoon after waking up around 4 to go to work and in the middle of the nap phone rings. Its getting worse closer it is to voteing day. I am saying if I get another phone call I am going to the office of that person running and I am going to let loose of some frustration! Hell I can do a better job than some of the stupid jokers in office. Its all about money !!!!
Grrrr, I don't mind these types of calls - reminding you to vote - BUT what is really ticking me off is some of these people are using tape recordings! If you don't care enough to have a real person call on your behalf, or call me yourself, then loose my number!
Just so you know and can pass on to others, the Sherry For Senate campaign will be using people in our district to make calls seeing if anyone needs a ride, has any questions, etc. These phone calls will be made by students and adults. During the call if the person called wants to ask Sherry a question or just to talk to her the caller will email Sherry and she will call the person. I know people are sick of all the ads, mail and phone calls. Hopefully they will enjoy talking to a real person on the telephone.
These things drive me nuts!!!! I got on the national DNC list and I think that this should be included. And I gotta agree with Zookeeper, have a person call me. Even my wife's dentist uses one of these machines to call the house and remind her of her appointments. Mike
