Seriously Hugh, if I didn't have kids there is no way I would want to be home all day. I would be bored out of my mind. Once my kids are grown and gone, I want to go back to work. BUT, I just want a job that I truly enjoy... and not a career that I have to be married to.
:iagree: I also don't think they have a clue as to really how hard it is to be a mom!!! As far as to how hard it actually is to stay at home with the kids all the time OR to work outside the home and having to deal with the mommy guilt......not to mention CHILDBIRTH :jester:
I dream of having billions of dollars, helping others with some of it, traveling the world with my family and having several homes to be able to visit. I dream that my children will always enjoy being around others and understand social settings. I dream that George Clooney or Jon Bon Jovi will become my next child's father and I dream that these polls will go away.
Well, that makes better sense. Since my mind was on the other poll I was still thinking differently. No! I want to get out of the house.
And yet your poll is flawed as well... stay at home and do what? Be a lazy ass? Heck no. Be with kids? Heck yeah
I would work part time for a paycheck and donate my time the other times, at the kids school in some way.
he, he, he...that made me giggle a little, my sister in law is actually living this dream!!! Quit her job or say retired 2 years ago at the ripe old age of 37 with no kids. I haven't a clue what she does!!! I think its lazy *** syndrome...but hey...each their own....
I voted yes and I don't have kids. If money was not an issue, there are lots of other things to do with my time besides work at a job. Volunteering much more, making my yard fit for Better Homes and Gardens, traveling, taking cooking lessons, interior design school, working out more, reading, learning to scuba dive, and more traveling. You did say money is not an issue, right? But even if I didn't have an unlimited money tree, I love being at home.
If money was no problem....I would not work. But I would find volunteer work to do and would definitly travel and do other things.
Don't worry, I would share with my new 4042 friends...hum!?! Billions, yep, I would. George and Jon I would not share.
generalization. I'm a single dad now and have been before. As a touring musician when I was younger I was in charge of ALL childcare and housework when I was off the road. I am the single father of a handicapped child now as well as working all the time. I'm no hero, but I'm also not unusual or clueless and I think it's old school old fashioned to characterize men that way.
