OKay, I wrote awhile back about possibly installing a pool liner ourselves but after we had one kid get surgery and another w/ horrible phenumonia, we decided to let them install it. Well....still NO WORD!!! More than aggravated b/c the lack of communication. NOt w/ the pool place but w/ their installers. So, we are going today to pick it up at the store and somehow manage to install it ourselves. 2 of our kids really use it for therapy. Shoot, I use it for therapy to keep them all entertained--LOL. Anyhow, how long do you think an install would take w/ about 3 people. I think we could have my husband and I and then a neighbor do it. Will that be enough? And, how long do you think I should tell him it will take? It is a 27' above ground beaded liner. Anyone want to come put a pool liner in? ...or babysit--LOL. Have a great week and do let me know if this will be possible or impossible w/ 3 people. Will it be enough people I guess is what I'm asking. Take care, Stephanie--mom to 7
Yep, what she said. Once you get to the liner, the hard part is pretty much done. Do you already have the sand down? Just remember to try to smooth it out as much as possible before the liner and then try to smooth again when you have about 2 inches of water in. Good luck
Don't know about diesel fuel, lol...but the liner was the easiest part. Your oldest could probably help.
No, everytime we had our pool put up the guy would spray a mixture of diesel fuel and something else on top of the sand before he put the liner in so that no grass would grow under it. Am I crazy? I swear that's what he said it was.
Oh i get it, most people just use the stuff you buy at Lowe's that kills for a year because after a year nothing is going to grow under the pool
Thanks. We are just replacing the liner so sand's already in place. All sounds like it is possible for us to do. Can't wait to get in and swim again! Stephanie--mom to 7
