Maybe someone here can help me out. I have an older (about 8 years old) Sony Handycam 8mm Camcorder. I took it to a dog event and in my haste, I must have let the power cord/charging unit slip out of the case :-( I checked with Best Buys and they don't have one in stock, but can order me one for $79.00  Although this camcorder is a dinosaur, by technical changes, it still works perfectly, except I can't recharge my battery - making it useless.

With the price of them coming down so much, I hate the thoughts of spending over $80 bucks with tax to power up something I use maybe twice a year.

Any ideas on where I might get my paws on one for less?

    Thanks!

You can probably get a whole replacement cheaper than that on eBay.

I also got a lost power cord for my digital camera, much cheaper than a retail store by going to the company's website online. (i.e. Sony)

    Good luck

order it online. I have a 'dinosaur' camcorder too, and I got one for 15 bucks.
