I have heard of it. I think it's kinda like a pyramid scam.

that is what i was thinking too. my SIL is doing it and she is sounding brainwashed. her preacher got her in it. she's talked my sis and her hubby into buying into it and is now working on me and oldest brother. i researched it online and didn't like what i was reading.

I looked into it several years ago (a little). Heck, I probably still have a sales tape in my truck. I just couldn't buy into what they were claiming. Kinda reminded me of Amway.

I have someone in my BNI group who's in PPL. Loves his job and is getting new customers everyday.

Call ME, I'll give you the low-down or is it down low? I can't keep my slang straight! :?

prepaid legal service is the biggest crock of crap. When I worked for the state prison system they would come in once a quarter and try to scare the officers into buying the PPLS crap. They always had this same story that always just happened a few months ago with an officer at so and so facility was brought up on charges by an inamte for excessive use of force, and because he didn't have PPLS he didn't have any money to defend himself so he lost his job, house, car, everything because the inmate won the case.

Heard the same story every three months for 3 years, and let's face it, if he were actually found guilty it wouldn't have mattered if he had PPLS or not.

Oddly enough the person that always came in had her own story and how she had lost everything due to an auto accident, and that once she finally got back on her feet she bought into the PPLS crap and has never looked back.

The thing with Amway is that everyone knows it is a pyramid scheme, but they do have some great cleaning products that tend to work when other stuff just doesn't cut it.

I love watching "Cops" and they frisk a perp and find that he's paying for prepaid legal..."at least he robbed prepared!"

PPL wants your money every month. When you go to use the policy, they only offer you a discount. Some things are covered, some are not.

Rip off! Get out as soon as possible.

When the wife and I were working for JMH, I was put to the breaking point at the hospital indoc class. Here in the middle of other hospital staff covering the basics like pay, and other benefits they shut down the indoc class to turn it over to the pre-paid legal sales pitch. Here they used the tatic of the nurse who pushed wrong meds, or something like that. How the family sued and won a malpractice suit. I really got mad that JMH was wasting my time with that sales pitch. Then the guy running it wanted everyone to sign a piece of paper with our employee ID #. I walked out and refused to sign the paper. I also told the people running the indoc class that IO could not understand why they were trying to sale stuff to new employees instead of making sure they knew as much about the JMH as possible. After working there a little more than a year I now know why they didn't want people to know as much about JMH as possible....... they would have left before ever hitting the floor.
