    Susan Fowler Named March Employee of the Month

    SMITHFIELD*Susan Fowler, a custodian at Princeton School, has been named Johnston County Schools Employee of the Month for the month of March. Fowler was nominated by a teacher. Her nomination reads, "Mrs. Fowler goes beyond the call of duty cleaning our rooms and bathrooms. She also takes very good care of our kids. She provides snack for any of our K-5 children on a daily basis that may not be able to afford it and she makes Christmas, Valentine, and Easter bags for all of the students in grade K-5 every year. She makes our coffee each day, and always has time to stop and read a story to my Kindergarten kids. She is very dear to all of us and is planning retirement in the next two years. She always knows where to find anything we need for our classrooms and looks out for all of her teachers. When she is out, she is dearly missed*She is a great asset to our school!" Fowler also has volunteered to spend her lunch time tutoring Kindergarten students.

    In partnership with Carolina Pottery, Johnston County Schools salutes Fowler for:

    * Demonstrating excellence on the job
    * Exhibiting a "teamwork" attitude
    * Making a significant contribution to the school, school district, employees, students and/or the community
    * Enthusiastically supporting the mission of Johnston County Schools

    Fowler was recognized at the March Board of Education meeting. She received a balloon bouquet, a $50 gift certificate from Carolina Pottery, and an appreciation certificate from Johnston County Schools. Her photo will be displayed at her school as well as in the Human Resources department at Central Services.
