My kids got a ps2 game a couple of months ago and it's been working fine. But now all of a sudden it is saying something about it needs to be formatted. Is there something we need to do and how do we do it?
    Thanks.

  2. Never heard of a PS2 game that needed to be formatted. :?
Sorry I can't help you there.
Maybe someone else could help you with that question. :)

Ours does that sometimes when it doesn't read the disc correctly. Most of the time we wipe the disc off and restart the console and it usually starts working. Most of the time its something with the game and not the system.

I know he cleaned it and all the other games work. I will have to see DH will take a few moments and look at it. I am no good with that stuff. :)

Sure it doesn't have something to do with the memory card? When using a game, it will usually check to see what available memory is available and perhaps it won't play if game data can't be stored. Maybe try deleting some data off the memory card.

That's a good idea too. I think we had to do that too!

Ours did that - after the it fell on the floor!

Any one that has one working I highly recommend velcro or double stick tape!

Mine did it. If anyone in the home has long hair, maybe this will help. I took it apart and hair was wrapped around the disc spindle. This caused the end of the hair to flap around under the laser. Removed the hair, cleaned off the lense and it worked fine. Don't know if that helps, but it fixed mine.

It's just one game that says that. He cleaned it and it still won't work.

  10. Have you let the place you purchased the game at know what the deal is? :?
