The Johnston County Board of Commissioners has scheduled a special meeting to interview three consulting firms for the purposes of determining qualifications related to providing assistance to the county in the development of a comprehensive land use plan. The meeting will take place in the Johnston County Land Use Center Conference Room located at 309 E. Market Street, Smithfield, North Carolina on Friday, March 28, 2008 beginning at 8:00 a.m.
It's about time! who hoo! :hurray: So, after the interviews will they be appointing another committee to help hire? Then, perhaps another committee to make sure the original committee makes an appropriate decision? Sorry, I'm a little disgusted with how long the process has taken thus far to get the County to this point. I sure hope this is a step to actually "do-something" and not just talk about it.
