I don't know of any fields to do that in, but you can always take them to Ken's on Hwy 50, lots of photo opportunities there, and then there is some place on Hwy 42 like you're heading towards Fuquay, it will be on the left.

Kens is great. Also this weekend they are holding their annual pumkin lighting. Worth seeing, especially for the kids. We normally pick out our pumpkins that night after seeing all the wonderful displays.

Westview Elem Kindergarten just went on a field trip to one in Wilson Mills, and you can pick them in the field. Hay ride etc.

WE TOOK OUR KIDS TO HILLRIDGE FARMS IN YOUNGSVILLE..THAT WAS A REALLY GOOD TIME...THEY HAVE ANIMALS THERE TO FEED AND PET... A HUGE SLIDE, TRAIN RIDE AND A HAYRIDE THAT TAKES YOU TO A FIELD (PUMPKIN PATCH) TO GET A PUMPKIN THEN BACK TO THE REST OF THE FARM ACTIVITES....THEY HAVE A WEBSITE YOU CAN LOOK UP AND SEE IF THAT IS SOMETHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO. IT TOOK US ABOUT 30-45 MINS TO GET THERE FROM 40/42. GOOD LUCK :)

Hillridge was not worth the money in my opinion. We took ds and it was $10 a person, then $2.50 a piece for the train ride and then more money if you wanted to feed the animals that you could not pet or really feed. They had pipes running from the fence to feed bucket that you poured the feed in. But just my opinion.

I agree with Wilsons Mills. They have hayride, picnic area and farm animals to rub. There's a little maze for the kids also. My son's school goes there every year.

We went to Hill Ridge a few weeks ago. We enjoyed it but it was expensive and it is along ways away. Will probably check out Wilson Mills next year.

When I taught elementary school we took the kids to a place called Lazy-O-Farms in Four Oaks. They have a small maze, hayrides, field of pumpkins, animals, goat feeding, etc.

I was trying to think of Lazy-O! I was planning on the Wilson Mills one myself. I knew there was another one but couldn't think of what it was. Thanks.
