R2CMK, they are such cute puppies! I'd adopt one if I could but now isn't the best time for a new addition to our family. Hope you find them new loving homes!
Aw, they are so adorable - will do my best to help you find good homes for them all (so glad they look so much like Sugar).
Oh my word, I made the mistake of looking ... they are adorable!! I've sworn off any new pets for awhile, even after my 'pack' starts to thin out a little... it's going to be SUCH a hard promise to keep. If you need someone to come and play with them, I'll volunteer!! *grin*
Yes, they are adorable. And those little eyes, wagging tails and puppy breath just melt my heart! They're 5 weeks old today so they'll be ready for their new homes in one more week. I have such mixed emotions about that going on here. :-(
I have no idea. There were two males that she "hooked up" with. One of the males looked like a solid black german shephard. I *think* he is probably the daddy of this litter, but who knows. The other male was a purebred something-or-another, but I can't remember what. Looked like a huge chocolate lab... ??
My hubby would LOVE either one, I'm sure. He used to have a German Shepherd, Sheba, she was a sweetheart. I would probably say he would take the Brown Girl. Do they have names? They look like they are mostly Shepherd puppies, if not all. Let me know.
Your husband is welcome to have her. I didn't name them because I'm trying really hard not to get too attached to them. I just call them "Brown Girl", "Black Girl", "Brown Boy" & "Chunky Monkey" (the biggest of the litter) to distinguish them when I'm talking to the kids about them. "Brown Girl" is a total sweetheart. She is the smallest of the litter... and IMO, she is the prettiest too.
She was supposed to be mine before we were surprised at Christmas with our little Gracie:cry: She looks so precious.
Mom is medium size, only 37 pounds. The male dog that looked like a black German Shephard was about the size of a shephard too, but he was definitely a mix of some sort (pretty though). He may have been a shephard/chow mix because he had some black on his tongue. He was very friendly and tried to come in my house with me, lol. The other male was bigger than a lab, but I really don't think he is the daddy dog of any in this litter. I would guess they will be in the 45 - 50 pound range (max) with the females being a little smaller than the males. You're welcome to come over and see them.
Ready, those are the cutest puppies I've ever seen! Wish I could take one, but you shouldn't have too much trouble finding homes for them! (My other fur babies (kitties) would NOT appreciate a new puppy!)
Thank you, kdc. I think they're mighty cute, but then I'm just a little partial. They have gotten much lighter since they were first born. "Black Girl" used to be solid black and the brown ones used to be a much darker brown with hardly any of the cream that makes their mama so pretty, but they are getting that now. It will be interesting to see what their adult coats look like. I hope their new owners will keep me updated with some pics every now and then.
I would have to agree. I like Brown Girl too. She looks the most like Sheba when she was a baby. I will talk to him about it and see what he says....although I am sure he will say yes. Are they ready to leave or do they need more time? Time is not a problem on this end.
