A very cute young dog, my guess is less than a year old, sort of just walked into my house last night while I was BBQ'ing. It is a Black Lab and Boxer mix. It is rather skinny and she stayed with me for a few hours. Later that night a man walking by and picked her up and was carrying her away. I asked if the dog was his and told him the kids played with it for a while and she ate quite well. He said he was watching it for a friend who now no longer wants it back and he was going to turn it into the SPCA this week. Well, I took pity on the poor dog, it being so skinny and very affectionate so I told him I'll take her and find a good home for her. The dog really has no name so will answer to just about anything although the man said he has been calling her Lady Darkness.. I really cannot keep this dog since I do live in an apartment, but I did let her stay the night so can anybody give me some ideas please? This dog is very well mannered and it even let me know when it has to go do it's business by scratching at the door. I just can't see giving her to the dog pound. Any takers out there?
