I fell in love yesterday, and there's nothing I can do about it. Went to Vets for Pets in Dunn to pick up some flea/tick meds, and made the mistake of visiting the animals for adoption. There is a 14 year old female cat named Queenie back there. She belonged to an 80 year old woman who just died. Queenie is dark orange with white feet. Nothing too special about her looks. But she was so sweet. I put my fingers in her cage, and she just about broke them off with her head butt. Then she just started licking and licking and licking my fingers furiously, like she was so hungry for attention. I just imagine her as being the only pet in the house, and loving to sit on her mama's lap all day. I can't have her. It wouldn't be fair to bring her into a house with 3 other cats and 2 big dogs. Anyone? She's already spayed of course, and the adoption fee is only $30. It's a no-kill shelter, and I know Dr Beretich will keep her forever if he needs to. But she would love to belong to someone again. Anybody know a little old lady that needs someone to love?
