I'm thinking aout getting a piercing but don't know who to go to. My friends that have tattoos & piercing did not get them from any of our local places. Does anyone have any feed back on Monkey Ink....please be honest but not cruel. I just want to hear some stuff from people that have been to them before I decide to go. Also,,,,if there is a place anyone recommends - please do so. I was thinking about them because they were close by. Thanks!!
Shawn did my piercings and tina is AWESOME at tat's. There is a website link on the front page of 4042. I used to know them when they were at 4 kings in fuquay. Their shop was right next door to us. They are extra nice people and will do you right.
I have a tattoo from Monkey Ink and so does my son. They do good work, and they are VERY nice people. I also have two tats from Blue Flame and have been pleased with their work and their people as well. I'm getting my avatar tattooed on soon and have yet to decide where to go, the only deciding factor being price. I know I'll be satisfied from either one.
Monkey Ink pierced MM's ears. She'd had them pierced with the gun twice before, and they'd get infected and be nasty and we'd have to let them grow up. We really did have a time with them. I told her if we were gonna try it again, she had to go to a piercing shop and have it done professionally. The young guy at Monkey Ink did it, and they turned out great. We've had no problems at all. Plus he was very patient with her.
I got my last tat from them, they are awesome. Really nice, patient and honestly caring people. Thats where i will get any future ink, don't foresee any pokes, but they are great! K
I did not and do not know anything about monkey ink....So I just second the suggestion of Blue Flame... The guys do a great job (Errol and Mark) and I was just very impressed how clean the place was when I had my tattoo and I saw them opening everything in front of me - it was clean/sterile... Since sdw asked for us to give our thoughts on Monkey Ink OR any other recommendation - well then I gave the one I knew about
Well most of my disagreements with several of you guys are never posted, I just think of my thoughts and do not type them because I do not have time for spell check and grammar check's all the time LOL... A co-worker(s) and I discuss them out loud instead ... because they read this board too
I went to Monkey Ink Thursday night and got a butterfly on my ankle. Last night went there and wanted more added to it. I told Tina I am putting myself in your hands. Dress it up for me please. She free hand drew something on my leg and then gave me a tattoo. I got to see it when she was done. OMG. I love it. I absolutely like her.
So glad you went to see Tina! They re-pierced (Shawn) my second holes, and am going in to get a third hole done (EARS, ya'll). I have ideas about a tat, and would go there. I've seen Tina's work in person and it's outta sight. The pix is great, TH! They are clean in there, Ken. I wouldn't go otherwise. I'm a baby when it comes to pain, but they put me at ease. We go to the place on the 70 Hwy in Clayton across from Lowe's Foods, they are nice and super busy...
Before moving here, I used to work for public health in a different state. One of my job was to make sure that each tattoo parlor is throughly inspected and passed by the dept. of health. If passed, d.o.h. will issue them a certification on clean bill of health (clean needle, rubber glove, sink, handle contamination, etc). Before you get your tattoo, call d.o.h. and make sure that the tattoo parlor is inspected and safe to use. I have seen and heard horror stories about unsafe tattoo parlor (infection, dirty needle, etc.). You'll be safe once you know about their business very well.
Side note about Blue Flame: NO KIDS PEEPING OVER YOUR SHOULDER WHEN SURFING PIERCING PICS! If there was a warning I must have missed it. I lost seven windows trynna close BlueFlame so ds wouldn't see. :neutral:
