I was doing some research last night, and came across a site that recommended chlorinating your well once or twice a year. So.................has anyone done this themselves? It had some nice calculations to go by, so you put in the right amount. I am curious because we have what I assumed was iron in the water, but according to this site, it could be some sort of iron producing bacteria? There is no odor to our water, but we get an orangy residue if water sits. Any opinions? We didn't have this problem in VA..........................lol!

Or if anyone has the number for a well person, the one we used to replace some lines is no where to be found.
