RACING SERIES TO BENEFIT LOCAL CHARITIES

  1. Racing for Charity will stage the first event of its inaugural Racing for Charity TADKART F1 Indoor Karting Championship to the benefit of the Duke Children's Hospital, Sunday, February 24, 5pm, at RushHour Indoor Karting Center on 5335 Raynor Road in Garner.

    This charitable event will see 24 area racing drivers representing 6 different countries, compete in the first of 7 events to determine the Racing for Charity TADKART F1 Karting Champion. Each race will benefit a local area charity.

    The event schedule runs 7 consecutive weeks with all events held at 5pm on Sundays. The schedule is:

    February 24 Duke Children's Hospital
    March 2 Karts for Kids
    March 9 Meals On Wheels of Wake County
    March 16 Make A Wish Foundation of Eastern NC
    March 23 Victory Junction Gang
    March 30 To Make A Child Smile Foundation
    April 6 Carter Pepper Fight Against Fanconi Anemia Fund

    Racing for Charity will be holding a $1 raffle for a 40"+ HDTV to be given away at the end of the season as well as a weekly $100 cash give away, door prizes and other interactive spectator events for authentic NASCAR jackets for the adults and youth in attendance.

    The community is encouraged to attend to support these great causes. Admission is free to the public.
