    A friend of mine bought the railroad ties at Lowes and if i remember correctly the salesman tried to sell her the landscape timbers thinking she didn't know the difference. So make sure you make yourself clear on what you want. And on a personal note Darn those railroad ties are heavy but they sure do last.
