If you've never been to any type of dog competition you'll not want to miss this one. Raleigh's Canine Unit is hosting, for the first time a Police Canine unit competition. Their going to have a public demonstration at Cardinal Gibbons High School for the public this Thursday, not sure of the time. It truly is unbelievable what these dogs can do. My husband and I have been involved in field trials and hunting trials for gun dogs and it never ceases to amaze me how smart these animals are. We've never had a big winner but it's loads of fun. Just being at one and watching how well trained these dogs are is amazing, at the field trials its very common to see the dogs off their leash, those are some of the best trained dogs you'll ever see.
Check it out, great family fun, hope the weather improves for them.
