Did anyone that lives in Clayon receive a reverse 911 message on a revised recycling program for the Town of Clayton? Unfortunately the one that answered our call hung up before getting the details. I would appreciate any information.
More like a 411..call info regarding Clayton partnering with Waste Management. I presume the database was the phone numbers associated with Clayton utility accounts. We got the call tonight, but haven't liven in Clayton for 4 yrs..but have same number as we did when we lived in town.. Apparently, the consortium is gonna switch out recycle containers...I'd suggest calling the town offices to get the 411.. Carl
Please post details. I need to know if I need to put my old one out or not. (I hope they give us a bigger one! Mine always overflows!)
They're giving us bigger containers. I think it's about the same size as our trash cans. There's only 1 recycling pickup this month and it'll be on your normal day they pick up next week (10th maybe?). They'll take your current container this time and will come back sometime later this month w/ the new one (or in January). Sorry I can't remember all of the details.
BAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! I wasnt going to openly admit it but yeah, thats why I need a bigger bin!
On your next recycling day, they're going to take your itty bitty container and switch it out with a 64 gallon one on wheels. From this point on, Clayton is going to recycle more materials. I'm not sure what all this includes, but I do know that I read that they're going to now start taking cardboard. So, if the bottles weren't enough of clue that my husband and I drink a lot, now my neighbors can see all my beer boxes too!!! I got this phone number from the Waste Management Website. They could probably tell you exactly what they're collecting. The service office phone number closest to you is: Phone: 800-327-5412 Hopefully the Town of Clayton will send out another flyer about it.
Steve Biggs, Town Manager for the Town of Clayton, provided the following link: www.townofclaytonnc.org If you are a Clayton resident you can determine your "New Program Initial Pickup" date and the "Beginning of Biweekly Pick-up" dates. Thanks Steve!
