:? Does anyone besides me think these two agree with each other? People should be able to practice their religion as they see fit, without being told where, when, or how?

I do not think there would be much support for the daily use of a recording of the Muslim call to prayer in schools. Or the acknowledgement of Wiccan celebrations of the two equinoxes, the two solstices, Samhain (Oct. 31), Imbolc (Feb. 2), Beltane (Apr. 30), and Lammas (Aug. 1). I do not see the adjustment of the calendar to recognize the Sabbath of Orthodox Jews so there is no school functions on Friday night just like they do for the Christian religions on Sunday. Of course, the issue is really not the allowance of personal religion but the celebration of the religion being organized or supported by the government.
