I rescue Betta fish from places like Wal-Mart, where they are in terrible living conditions. Since I can't possibly keep hundreds of Bettas in my house (they have to have their OWN aquariums!), I have a business where I place the Bettas in offices, classrooms, etc.

Please see my ad, spread the word, and help the Bettas! Thank you!!

How do you rescue fish from Wal-Mart? Do you buy them?

Unfortunately, yes I buy them. There is one Wal-Mart in particular that I buy them from. I only buy them when they are in about 2 inches of disgusting, filthy water, which means they have been sitting on the shelf for a while. If they are in an ample amount of relatively clean water, I leave them. I have "rescued" two that are deformed and can't swim properly. These are my babies and will live out their lives at my house. :)

I read your Ad but have a question. Do you provide the food, etc for the lifetime of the fish and also you actually povide the aquarium??

    From my ad...

I’ll provide the aquarium (two sizes available - no desk is too small!), a Betta buddy, Betta food, and the maintenance needed to keep your buddy healthy

    ...

Yes, I provide the aquarium, either a 1/2 gallon that doesn't have a filter & light (no electricity needed) or a 1 gallon that does have a filter & light. I charge a "set up" fee that includes one month of maintenance. I'll also continue to maintain the aquarium, indefinitely, for a small monthly fee. If a rescued fish dies, I'll replace it at no charge.

I keep trying to get my oscar to cozy up to my Betta(s) but they keep disappearing.
