HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm hoping you can help me find someone who reupholsters furniture. I've called several of the storefront businesses, but they are charging slightly more than I want to pay. I'm thinking that maybe someone who works out of their home might be less expensive (you know - the no overhead thing!). My neighbor said there is a woman in Dunn who does this but she can't think of her name.

    THANKS!

There is a place down towards COATS, NC. Off NC 210. It's a family business - Stacy Williams

They are better than anywere else in the STATE! I kmow down in COATS in the middle of no where.

They have lots of fabrics, can re-make furniture and are overall just GREAT! I have had many things re-done, + MIL, SIL and others. No bad work - ever.

Sorry, I cannot find their # right now.

I've used Parker Upholstery. His prices were very reasonable.

I don't know anything about him but I have seen a sign on 1010 for a Chris Frazier. Maybe someone knows his work?

I forgot to mention in my PM - if you are in need of upholstry fabric, there is a fabric store on New Bern Avenue, just a few doors down from Hamricks, that has a huge selection. There are probably a thousand bolts of fabric. When I was looking for fabric for the wingback chair, I had gone to several places all over Raleigh and found the selection at this store to be better. I think I paid $70 for the fabric for the tufted wing back chair but in addition I got out of it two valances (reversible) and decorative pillows for the chair - not a bad deal. My upholsterer even made me fabric slipcovers for the arms and the one that drapes over the top of the chair - nice little surprise since I didn't think to ask him. Most of the fabric is $7.99 per yard, some is a little higher. I cannot remember the name. To get there, I usually take Rock Quarry to Sunnybrook; at the intersection of Sunnybrook and New Bern, take a right, cross over the belt line - the Plaza is on the left. You'll have to go the light to either make a left turn to pull into the plaza and follow it around toward the front of the Hamricks store or do a U-turn to pull in. It's just a few doors from Hamricks. Good luck.
