I loved watching New Years Rock N' Eve just to see how D1ck Clark was getting along after his stroke. It will never be the same without him. http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/****-Clark-Death-American-Bandstand-147976045.html edited to add... sorry about the thread title... didn't think about the curse filter and his first name... :x
I'm so glad that Ryan Seacrest shared the stage with D. Clark up until this past year on New Year's Rocking Eve. I think it showed how much he and all of us admired and respected him. Clark was able to do the countdown one last time. Sad to see him gone.
Didn't Don Cornelius of "Soul Train" pass on recently? I used to watch him after Mr. Clark's show. "Gaily I lived as ease and nature taught, And spent my little life without a thought, And am amazed that Death, that tyrant grim, Should think of me, who never thought of him. ~René Francois Regnier" (Deprived of a classical education by fickle fate, I came across this poem via Google)
Ryan Seacrest?? Pfft... he's lucky **** even let him on the stage.. ones a legend the other a wanna be,, RIP ****
So sad indeed. I watched American Bandstand every Saturday for as long as I can remember. And I love Ryan Seacrest. He reminds me so much of D ick in his younger years, so charismatic and handsome. I expect Ryan will follow in his footsteps. He is a natural.
I'm not a huge Ryan Seacrest fan, but from what I understood, Ryan and **** were friends and liked working together. **** was Ryan's idol. Ryan always spoke highly of ****. Ryan isn't exactly a "wanna be" either. He's extremely successful at what he does.
