They found the missing father dead in Oregon today after leaving his family on Saturday to seek help. I was so clued to the TV and Internet hoping for good news. My heart goes out to the Kim Family for their loss.
Darn. I haven't seen or heard the news all day, that is so sad. I was hoping they would find him alive. How heartwrenching.
Who knows....They believe that he left pant and other pieces of clothing as a "marker" for himself and to others letting them know what direction he was heading. They were hoping to find some answers from him but now they will never know.
Is this related to the family that was found after 9 days? I only caught a blip of news yesterday on the way by.
Yes, the wife and kids were found two days ago, they found the dad's body today. Heartbreaking. :cry:
He was responsible for his family being saved, I cannot imagine him being anything less than pleased over that aspect, where ever he may be now.
The pants were an extra pair he was wearing over others. They thought he either removed them to leave as a marker - or that he was suffering from hypothermia and may have removed them because the condition causes a false sense of warmth. He was found in a very densly wooded area where the helicopters couldn't see. I was really hoping they would find him alive. I can't imagine how hard this is on his family. It's amazing how a Thanksgiving trip to see family can take such a terrible turn. I'm sure the holidays - and life in general - will be tough on this family for a while. Although his wife seems like a very strong person, my heart really goes out to her. I was hoping for good news. This just seemed to be such a nice family who had everything going for them.
