Lady Bird Johnson passed away today at the age of 94. In the rough and tumble world of politics, she was always gracious and decent. I was impressed in reading her book, A White House Diary, she did not have a negative word to say about anybody. The first President Bush had this to say about her: Of course she is remembered for her highway beautification program, and her wildflower research and education center. I think the world is a little bit better place because she was in it.
