Looks like Clayton is growing again and adding more traffic to the area. Withers & Ravenel, a Cary development company, wants to build 2,724 homes and 98,000 square feet of retail space on 915 acres on Pritchard Road about 1.25 miles north of Covered Bridge Road. The proposed development, called Riverwalk, also calls for three parks and a greenway along the Neuse River and Mark’s Creek. It will be approved. Most of the traffic will not be coming through Clayton. It will head in other directions toward Raleigh.
