Riverwood Middle School earned the MATHCOUNTS championship for the second year in a row, competing among 112 middle school students representing the twelve middle schools in Johnston County in the annual competition. Riverwood will now represent the district at the regional MATHCOUNTS Competition in Raleigh on Saturday, February 23. The students not only compete as a team, but also as individuals in working out math problems in an allotted amount of time.
