http://www.wtsbradio.com/ Traffic Alert: A section of Amelia Church Road off Highway 42 near Clayton will be reduced to one lane on Wednesday from 8:00am until 5:30pm. The lane closure is necessary to allow Department of Transportation crews to perform shoulder maintenance.
yup.. the guys holding the stop/slow signs are working it like a 4 way stop... Should get interesting around 4ish..
Wish I had seen this earlier. I was stuck in it for 20 minutes. I took Barber Mill on my way home to avoid it.
Hubby told me about this when he came home from his second job this morning. Had needed to run to the store, but will wait until later on. Don't feel like fighting with that stuff. Bad part is, have to use that road to get out of the subdivision I am in!
That didn't help me, I still had to go through where they were working. LOL It wasn't that bad though, short wait.
Oops! Didn't even look at the date of the post. Thanks! I am heading that way in a few minutes. Glad to know it was yesterday!
FYI - in case anyone encountered this again this morning.... There was a very big accident at that intersection this morning around 8 AM - a van rolled over and there were several emergency vehicles, which caused that area to be down to one lane. Yesterday's road widening was probably the ongoing construction related to the new hospital.
Ah so that's where all the emergency vehicles where headed this morning. Thanks for the info. Would they be widening the road down that far from where they are building the new medical facility? They were doing work off the road on the other side last week, in the field.
