not that Sandy...lol Any way Sandy is a large mixed breed, female, who is a rusty, golden brown color. She is about 70-80 pounds of dog and very hairy. She looks sort of german shepard size and style but all one color. Big perky ears. She got out - or someone let her out - just before the big storm tuesday. She should still have her collar on her with a telephone number and her name. She is very people friendly but may not be too fond of other dogs. We checked the pound and she isn't there - yet. she was last seen on Lassiter road between black Creek road and the church. She lives near Garnet Place subdivision. PLease email me or call me if you see her. 919-464-4120. She has a huge pen area an a custom made dog house. There is a fence around everything but in the last 2 months she has gotten out 3 times. She is having help doing it too, because the gate has been opened and her owners are not the ones leaving it open. This time the gate was closed but she had to get out somehow. She may have scaled the fence but no one is really sure. She is missed and loved.
I have such a fear of someone leaving my back gates open. I have padlocks and chains on my gates. A little much some would say, but it makes me feel better. My babies are outside when I am home but still! I hope you find Sandy!
nope, no luck. See was seen again on Lassiter road. the kids keep hoping she is back in the woods but I am not too sure anymore. I know how far they can get in a day. I still have my fingers crossed.
Don't give up. My dog was gone for 5 days, no sign of him, and then we found him right in the area where he was lost. I am sure we are all looking out and praying for her.
Still nothing. I keep looking everytime I travel that area. Then I make circles around the farms and such. Someone opened her gate and let her out while everyone was at school and work. It stinks.
What does her collar look like? I saw a dog that sounds like that at Medicap today (40/42). They were feeding the dog - but the dog would not let them close enough to check the collar.
Could you tell if that dog has a red collar with pawprints on it? I saw her, too, and she would follow me if I turned my back but she ran if I approached her.
Yes, the collar was red with white paw prints. When I was at Medicap they were giving the dog food and water, but they said the dog would not let them near it. Poor thing, a cutey pie too.
THe kids took a ride up there and did see the dog - they wanted to be sure. We keep hoping she will turn up. I still drive in circles. - not a big stray from the norm for me anyway. *sigh* poor girl
we never have found here or even had another bit if info.... I 'd hate to think what happened to her out in the woods alone. Someone actually saw smalll bear tracks....Do you think she could be ok?
I'm so sorry. I know how hard it is to lose a pet and not know what happened. It happened to us about this time last year. I hope she turns up safe and sound.
She just might find her way home. We had a dog growng up we thought was gone forever and one day just came home. All of our dogs were outside dogs back in the day before leash laws, all dogs were just *yard* dogs. I hope you find Sandy soon.
