I saw a show once.. something called Men and Their Dolls. It was on BBC, the men were from the UK and the US. It was a documentary about men who spend many thousands of dollars to have lifelike dolls (10k ea) as companions for everyday life. They do their make up daily, wash them, change their clothes... Some because they are disabled in some way (or think they are) and can't get female companionship any other way, some because they are into freaky sex and some due to mental issues... They pose for family photos together, take them on outings... strange to see and sad to know people are this lonely. But... it makes them happy. In my quest for a link for info on Men and Their Dolls I found a link to one of the guys blogs. http://www.kuroneko-chan.com/echoes/ I think he has webbies robot on there, she's dancing and singing. If it ain't her it must be her cousin. I watch too many documentaries .. and follow too many links. .... and google too much. :ack:
I googled too much and found this site. The story is sad and kinda funny at the same time. It's definitely the perfect time to have a blow up doll. http://www.chinasmack.com/2010/stories/shanghai-man-survives-suicide-jump-blowup-sex-doll.html
From the same site as the robot..... http://www.wimp.com/tiltphotography/ This is very real, but how its photographed, it looks like a Sims game. Really neat.
