Who should I contact about finding a small commerical space for my business? Realtor? Chamber of Commerce? I'm looking for a small bakery space. Thanks!
What area....out in Flowers Plantation? There are a few spaces available there near the Food Lion if im not mistaken.
somewhere between Bojangles and Walgreens on Hwy 70 in Clayton (I'm thinking in the shopping strip where "I Love My Bar" is) there is going to be a Juanita's Bakery... just an FYI.. last week we stocked the space with metal stud and some sheetrock for an upfit.
Thanks for informing me. I will check the downtown and the other area. I'm looking for 800 sq ft. or less to start out with.
I would not set up in the strip mall out by Telecris (old Bayer) on US 70 east of Clayton. Two businesses, Allium Bistro and The Town Shop, have closed because of bad location. I would suggest looking in downtown Clayton.
I wouldn't mind seeing a good bakery over near Lowes Foods somewhere.. they've got a decent store bakery, but there are somethings you just can't get at a grocery store bakery... I know if there was an authentic bakery close by I'd go there to buy deserts, pies, breads & pastries. I do go to the 4042 Bakery on occasion, they've got some good stuff in there!
My problem with the 4042 bakery...over behind Smithfields Chicken - is while they have great cakes and decent prices...they put their rolls and bagels in PLASTIC bags...a BIG no-no! I've mentioned it...grrrr....then, a miracle happened and Big Steves opened up right down the road from me and thank God, they don't do that naughty stuff! Speaking of...Big Steves now has CRUMB Cakes - Totally yummy! Baked fresh...gosh and they don't open for another 7 hours
like zoo said.. its behind Smithfield BBQ, corner of the strip closest to the I-40 ramp. I can't say I've gotten their bagels or bread, i do like their pastries though, their cream puffs, eclairs, even the whoopie pies are all good! All the cakes look wonderful, I just can't afford the calories to work my way through the entire bakery case...LOL!
it is sad about the town shop cause she had a wonderful place right here in town and she thought the grass was greener there. a long time land mark gets sold then moved to die out.
Do you remember Woodall's that used to be in the Rose Manor shopping center in Smithfield? I loved that place! Anyway, when they moved Woodall's over to 301 it died. If it ain't broke...
Heard a while back that a speciality deli was going into the old Town Shop location downtown. But haven't seen any movement for quite a while. There are several locations downtown that would fit your needs. Too bad about the Town Shop closing out on hwy 70. Hadn't heard that.
Thanks, everyone, for your help. I got PMs from people who work for real estate company and they are willing to find a space for me. I also will drive around and check some places out.
