I go to Cardiology Associates on Hwy. 70. At the Duke Summit Center. I see Dr. Friedman and he is just the BEST!!! He is very thorough and wants to make sure you are comfortable as well. He has helped get my heart on the right track and very grateful for his abilities and services. Staff there is excellnet as well. Oh, and if I have a question about a recent script(ex...antibiotic or something) and just want to make sure it is okay to mix w/ my heart meds, they answer it that same day all the time. Small office but I think that is why it all works so well. They do EKG's, stress tests, echo's, nuclear medicine stress tests, etc. all right in the office. I highly recommend Dr. Friedman. Here goes:

    Cardiology Associates
    359-8040

    Hope that helps.

Raleigh Cardiology Associates - (919) 231-6132 - Excellent group located in Wake Med Heart Center, 3000 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh. Marc Silver and A.B Reddy are excellent. They have about 8 more highly qualified Cardiologists in their group. Someone is always on duty at Wake Med in the event you go in emergency.

This guy has the bed side manor of my desk, doesn't listen and did a junky job on my mothers bypass - she needed another within six months.... no joke...same spot - a redo is not what anyone wants - needless to say - he did not operate the second time. plus his office is a dump/ that should have been the tip off.

Not as bad but I don't reccommend - Dr Mann of Smithfield heart and vascular - his theroy is everything is weight related. you will be fine if you just loose weight. You are fat - therefore your chest hurts. Loose weight. He is a manns doctor not good for women - just too gruff and impersonal.

    Wake Heart Assoicates

At Wake Med Heart Center. Dr. Jobe is a great doctor and he has so many great assoicates. Dr. Jobe will actually do the cats through the wrist which is a much faster recovery. My dad had his 8th stent last week and went back to work today, as he said he got his tune up and he is fine. They have a Raleigh office & Clayton. No matter what don't let a Dr. do more than a cat at Smithfield, you must go to Raleigh. For heart surgeons Dr. Robo (for short) is the VERY BEST. He is also located in the Heart Center.

    :iagree:
I'll go one step further, don't have a catherization anywhere if they do not have an open heart facility. If your going to mess with my heart, you better have the capability to fix it right away if something goes wrong. This is my medical advise to anyone. I worked in an open heart unit for 9 years.
