And who in their right mind would send a 5YO to a bus stop alone?

not only did she send him to the bus stop in the snow, she didn't even check to see if he got on the bus. this story just irritates me.

ok, so here is an update, the boy has been found.....

now....before we hang her by her toenails (the mom) let's decide on what to do to the 'friend' who had the kid the whole time, and didn't call the Mom....

Nah, I don't know if I would have said anything either. I think that kid's mom needed a wake up call. I have dealt with less than stellar parents before, where I felt like I spent more time with their kids or was more aware of their kids whereabouts than them. It could have been par for the course with all involved.

Me too! You just have to love this mom's thinking in the last sentence: "He's not going to be outside riding the bike," she said. Does this mean she is grounding "him"?
