An accessories shopping event - sweaters, jewelry, scarves, book marks, key chains, children's lunch bags, etc. will be held on Fri., Dec. 12 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.; Sat., Dec. 13 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Sun., Dec. 14 from 12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. This is a fundraiser for Angels Among Us - Brain Tumor Center at Duke University Hospital and will be in loving memory of Julie Lee, 5th grade teacher at Cleveland Elementary School that past away on Feb. 6, 2008 from brain cancer. All proceeds will go toward research at Duke for brain tumor research...all money stays at Duke. The state of North Carolina is so blessed to have such an advanced medical facility. I realize this is the Christmas season and all of us are being asked to give, however, this fundraiser is my way of coping with my first Christmas without Julie and to give back so other families might have more options for treatment if their loved one is ever diagnosed with a tumor/cancer.
