I just wanted to congratulate all of the seniors this year! Including my son, Michael M. at WJHS. You have earned it. Best of luck to you all...... Seemed like I just brought him home from the hospital a year a go. Enjoy them while they are young. I just can't believe he is graduating. Anyone else think like me? I love him more than life itself......
OK..so now I've teared up again. The many of you that think we're "sappy" will look back years from now when it's your turn and maybe realize we are quite normal. Best wishes to all the kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Graduates, as you go into the real world, remember.... - Respect your elders - Respect the law and those in law enforcement - Do not expect someone else to carry you through life. Get a job, and stay off welfare. - Start saving for your retirement NOW. DO NOT WAIT. - Take responsibility for your actions, weither they were stupid or not. - If you do decide to go on the government check, or pump out welfare babies, do the rest of us a favor by not voting.
YAY!!!!! Love you guys! So proud of all of you. Even the ones I don't know ;-) You've come a long way since you were gawky 8th graders. Good luck in the Air Force, Justin! Knock 'em out at Western Carolina, Lisa! Blow 'em away at FSU, Tiffany! Wow them at Campbell, Randell! Good luck in nursing, Boots... I am sure all of you will do so well.
Thank you MP and yes I am gonna cry....again. This is my baby. Congrats to all the graduating Seniors. Who wants to post cap and gown pics?
GO CLAYTON HS. and for all the other surrounding HS....CONGRATS. I found out that my SIL will be require to have a laptop for college. I wonder when they started that.
My son had to have one last year. I think it's a standard requirement these days... too hard to use pen and paper.
I work on campus here at NC State and they have 'required' laptops for about the last 4 years. Some Professors utilize 100% computer access to their course....its just a sign of the times....
My kids got a laptop for Christmas this past year, but I'm sure by the time my oldest one gets to college in 4 years it will be outdated and I'll be looking at having to buy another. I like the idea of him buying his own with graduation, birthday, Christmas, or whatever money.
Made it through with almost no tears. I think I was just too tired and hot by that time. Got a little misty when I saw them marching across the top of the hill (at WJHS) two by two. My husband said "Look" and I wasn't prepared. My two youngest put their arms around me. I think they thought I was going to lose it. They already think I'm a cry baby after this week.Got an awesome picture of him coming off the stage and he gave his mama a thumbs up. He immediately left this morning on a mission trip. Feeling a little old right now....but incredibly proud. By the way, the laptop was a HUGE surprise and he was thrilled. I just better not see it thrown in the back of his truck or mama gets a new computer. Good night all. Exhaustion takes over.
It was really hot on the field, but a little breeze every now and then. SOOO glad it's over! I can say this, the valedictorian (Daniel T) speech was the best I have ever heard at a graduation.
Daniel had a wonderful speech. It was hot, hot, hot. we had a great weekend. Cook out with 30 people all day sat at our house. Partied with family and friends until late. now, back to business...
