BENSON--West Johnston High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Col. Warren Singleton as the school's Athletic Director, effective immediately. Col. Singleton is a 24-year veteran of the armed services and has served as the supervisor and instructor of West Johnston's JROTC department since the school opened. Col. Singleton has also served as the Junior Varsity boys' basketball coach and assisted the varsity program for three years. Additionally, he coached various sports while in the Army. "We are pleased that Col. Singleton has accepted this position. He is a man of integrity and enthusiasm, with many years of leadership and managerial experiences. All of these traits will prove to be an asset to the Athletic Department here at West Johnston," said Brookie Honeycutt, Principal.
