Does anyone know what that strong smell is near Turner Farms, as you go up 50 into Garner? It started around the time they started building that house on the corner. I thought it was just the smell of freshly turned dirt, but it's been going on for over a month now, and smells strongly no matter whether the car windows are open or closed, no matter whether the A/C is on or off, no matter whether it's raining heavily or clear. For those that live near there, I wonder if they get used to the smell quickly and if it's poisoning them or something!
Oddly enough, since I posted this, I don't notice the smell anymore. I realized that yesterday as I passed it, it didn't make me hold my breath like it usually does. Today as I passed it, I intentionally tried to smell it. I could, but just barely. It's almost like someone read this post and "turned it off". :?:
