Have to say I liked 'em!! Didn't much care for the bill , but I liked the vet. One of my cats has something wrong with her eye, just started yesterday being a little red, a little goopy and she kept winking at me, LOL. No damage to the eye itself as far as he can tell, and she's not sneezing or anything which would indicate cat herpes. So we have an antibiotic, and he's going to check her again on Monday. Let's hope she doesn't start sneezing, cause then both of the cats will have to be treated, and if I remember what he said right, if it's herpes, there isn't much to do other than treat the symptoms when/if they crop up. I'm thinking it's just an infection, because they are strictly house cats with little chance of picking up something from another animal.
So why is my other cat hissing and spitting at this one?? We were only away from the house a couple hours and she's freaking out, like she's never seen her before. Can she smell the vet's office on her???? So WEIRD!!
I agree, it's the smells. My silly cat hissed and growled at the dog when I gave her a bath. That was adding insult to injury for the poor dog. She hates baths and then her sister hissed at her! LOL!
I love me some Dr. Mike. He really cares about his patients. He's saved my bullies life a couple of times!
Seems like it! I felt a little silly bringing the cat in, because it really didn't look all that bad, but it looked like it was bothering her. He didn't make me feel stupid, nor guilt me because she was a little overdue on her shots (where does the time go?? I know, I know, bad cat mommy , but they are strictly indoors) Took his time with her, which impressed me, because the place was BUSY! And wants to see her again on Mon just to make sure she gets better. Got her up-to-date on her vaccinations, no pushing unnecessary treatments, didn't try to sell me on products I don't really need. Now I have to take the other one in for her yearly, and that's going to be interesting, because she doesn't like being handled.........at all.
It's always BUSY in there, but he always takes his time with us. Some people think he's very dry, but once you get to know him that's just his personality. I kid you not when my bully almost died, Dr. Mike pulled out his vet books and did a esophageal surgery on him right there. He had never preformed it before and he's been a vet for a long time. Usually only specialist perform this surgery. My bully survived with a very slim chance of even making it out of surgery and had to be hospitalized off/on for a month. That man would call me nights (9-10 pm) even on the weekends always giving me updates. He'd say I just had to come in and check on our little buddy and let you know how he's doing. He really does care about the animals.
