I'm pretty sure that whoever buys them would treat them like a sculpture or something, and for a limited edition art piece, the price is about normal. As long as they're cared for and never worn, it's a potential investment for the buyer, I would think. (But then again, I can't stand Nike and haven't kept up with how they're valued by the public, so I could be wrong.)
