Sorry, another question.. Has anyone been to Southport, NC? I'm thinking about taking a short trip over there by ferry. Just wondering how the shopping was or if there was anything else worth doing while there.
I've been there. It's a nice ferry ride over there and a very quaint downtown area with lots of unique shops and stores. There is a neat Maritime Museum there as well. I enjoyed it last year about this time. http://www.southport-nc.com/.
Oh good! I just wanted to make sure they had some actual shops. I heard about the museum, but couldnt find any "reviews" on it. The locals say there's not much to it, but I figured people not from there will appreciate it more. Thanks again!
love Southport. I have a house over on Oak Island....across the bridge. Lots of neat shops in Southport and some of my favorite restaurants too. It's a neat little town.
I LOVE Southport. My sis lived there for a few years while her hubby did some work down there. It is a small town with mostly locals. I love the "slow pace".
